Cycle Exchange, Bike and Coffee Shop

The cycle and coffee shop are located within a new mixed-use development in Surrey.

The plan is simple, an entrance with seating and coffee bar, WC, offices and sales counter, bike racks along the corridor that serve as storage and display and a workshop and storage area at the back of the shop.

A concrete soffit and columns inspired the brief for an industrial style shop. We proposed a polished concrete screed for the floor, exposed services such as AC ducts and unit, surface mounted power boxes, exposed cable trays, industrial suspended light fittings and simple metal key clamp tubes and fixings to display the bikes. A warm birch ply cladding was used for coffee, workshop and sales desks with concrete counters applied to all of these.
