Grove Lodge
Status: Construction / March 2024 -
Client: Private
Location: Deal, Kent.
The front of the house, facing on to the main road, is composed of two gables and a wide central pitched roof. Windows have a slightly quirky layout that reflect the Arts & Craft style.
The elevations are finished in white painted rough cast render.
The rear of the house shares these values. At each end of the building, the roof pitch sweeps down from the ridge of the gables to high level ground floor.
We intend to create something that blends with the original and at the same time, does by use of larger glazing screens to develop a lighter language.
Roofing will correspond with the main / original house in the form of 45 degree pitched clay tiles.
Walls are white, also like the originals but, in this case, in painted brick.
