Addisland Court apartment refurbishment & reconfiguration

Status: Completed 2014

Client: Private

Location: Holland Park, London, UK

The apartment is located within a beautiful Art Deco building where, supposedly, an episode of Detective Poirot was filmed.

Our client approached us to completely strip the finishes and layout of the apartment and start anew. The brief included the addition of a wetroom, kitchen relocation, structural alterations, new ensuite bathrooms, new finishes and the addition of a gas fireplace.

Due to the curious form of the building, the proposed layout made the long corridor an opportunity to show the client’s art collection; we incorporated special lighting to display the art works. We created openings throughout the layout to give the feeling of an open nature space. New timber floor boards and white paint made the apartment feel calm and warm. Bespoke joinery was designed and fitted in bedrooms, utility room and dining / living room, including a low bench to sit next to the fireplace.
